Located less than a mile from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon, One on Centre is a $106 million contemporary-designed, mixed-use development serving over 29,000 students in the walkable, transit-oriented neighborhood of North Oakland — one of Pittsburgh's liveliest areas. Intentionally paying homage to the Steel City's rich industrial history, the use of dark metal, black and gold panels, and a mix of brick masonry and stucco taps into the pulse of the vibrant neighborhood. Large corner glass panels and ample amounts of walk-up retail help to convey a past-meets-present look, while the facade mixes glass and metal windows to reflect the light and activate the Pittsburgh skyline. Strategic location, modern design, luxurious amenities and an understanding of what the community was lacking lead to the impeccable execution to this project. One on Centre successfully opened at 80.3% occupancy rate and a high level of renter satisfaction obtained through effective social media and community outreach campaigns.
