Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM) Continuing Education Form

To maintain your Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM) designation, you must complete 12 hours of new home sales and marketing continuing education every 3 years.

If NAHB Education has requested proof of CE hours, please complete and submit the form below. If you have renewed your MIRM designation on time, you are not required to complete the form and provide verification.

Do not submit your form unless you have completed all of the CE requirements.

If your form is incomplete or your CE hours do not qualify, you will have 30 days to satisfy the continuing education requirements. Failure to complete requirements by this date will result in the suspension of your MIRM designation.

New Home Sales and Marketing Education

Designees must provide proof of attendance for each activity or event listed on the form. All MIRM continuing education must be completed during the period for which it applies.

1. Complete an Institute of Residential Marketing (IRM) or NAHB educational course or NAHB e-learning event. (One CE hour for every hour of instruction up to a maximum of six hours, not including the required IRM courses)

Please list the titles of any IRM education courses or NAHB e-learning events you have completed over the past three years, in addition to dates, locations and total number of hours completed.

You will receive one CE hour for every hour of instruction up to a maximum of 6 hours (excluding IRM I-IV courses).
IRM Approved or NAHB Course/NAHB E-Learning Event #1 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of attendance or proof of purchase (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.).
IRM Approved or NAHB Course/NAHB E-Learning Event #2 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of attendance or proof of purchase (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.).

2. Teach an IRM or NAHB Education course and/or serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for an IRM or NAHB Education course. (Up to a maximum of six CE hours over the past three years)

 

Please list any IRM or NAHB education courses that you have taught over the past three years, including date and location, or any IRM or NAHB course for which you contributed during that time.

You will receive one CE hour for every hour of instruction up to a maximum of 6 hours.

3. Attend sales and marketing educational sessions at the International Builders' Show or any educational programs and seminars at national, regional and state conferences and trade shows. (One CE hour for every hour of instruction up to a maximum of six hours)

 

Please list the year, venue and sessions in which you attended IBS and/or the names of any regional trade shows or conferences you have attended over the past three years, including dates, locations and total number of hours completed.

You will receive one CE hour for every hour of instruction up to a maximum of 6 hours.
Educational Event #1 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of attendance or proof of purchase (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.)
Educational Event #2 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of attendance or proof of purchase (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.)

4. Attend state or local HBA and Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) seminars, programs and courses. This includes non-IRM and NAHB courses sponsored by a state or local HBA, SMC or Home Builders Institute. (One CE hour for every two hours of instruction, up to a maximum of four hours)

 

Please list any state or local HBA or SMC educational events you have attended over the past three years, including the venue, date and number of hours attended.

You will receive one CE hour for every two hours of instruction up to a maximum of 4 hours. Education includes non-IRM courses sponsored by a state or local HBA, SMC or Home Builders Institute (HBI).
HBA/SMC Educational Event #1 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of attendance or proof of purchase (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.)
HBA/SMC Educational Event #2 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of attendance or proof of purchase (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.)

5. Attend other real estate industry educational programs. (One CE hour for every two hours of instruction, up to a maximum of six hours)

 

Please list any other real estate educational events attended over the past three years, including the date, sponsoring organization and number of hours completed.

You will receive one CE hour for every two hours of instruction up to a maximum of 6 hours.
Other Real Estate Educational Event #1 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of completion or proof of attendance (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.).
Other Real Estate Educational Event #2 Documentation:

Please include a certificate of completion or proof of attendance (i.e., confirmation email, receipt, etc.).

6. Successfully earn another NAHB designation or other sales and marketing or real estate designation. (Up to a maximum of three CE hours over the past three years)

Please list all NAHB or other professional designations earned over the past three years, including the sponsoring organization and year the designation was achieved.
Professional Designation #1 Documentation:

Please include a certificate or proof that you earned a professional designation (not including NAHB designations)
Professional Designation #2 Documentation:

Please include a certificate or proof that you earned a professional designation (not including NAHB designations)

7. Be an active member of a Builder or Remodeler 20 Club. (Maximum of three CE hours over the past three years)

Please list the name of your Builder or Remodeler 20 Club and the year you joined.

8. Purchase and read a BuilderBooks publication or title. (One hour of CE credit for every book, up to a maximum of three CE hours over the past three years)

Please list any building industry-related publications or books purchased from BuilderBooks over the past three years. (maximum of three credit hours)

Please list any titles and the dates purchased.
Publication/Title Documentation:

Please include proof of purchase. One CE credit will be given for every book, with a maximum of three hours every three years. BuilderBooks titles must be relevant to the designation topic area.

9. Win a state, regional or national sales and marketing award. State/Regional award-two credit hours; National award-three credit hours. (Up to a maximum of six hours for awards over the past three years)
