The following tool allows users to compare local housing markets across HBAs. The tool provides statistics derived from the 2017 American Community Survey (ACS). The NAHB tabulated statistics include

• Population
• Number of owner-occupied housing units
• Homeownership rate
• Home owner vacancy rate
• Share of homes that are single-family detached
• Value of homes owned
• Income of home owners
• Share of homes recently built
• Single-family permits
• Multifamily permits

The data provided represents NAHB tabulations of data from the 2017 American Community Survey (ACS) and Building Permits Survey, U.S. Census Bureau. The annual figures are the latest available. HBA jurisdictions are as of the annual Board of Directors Meeting in 2017. Changes made since that time are not reflected in the tabulations.
